In my opinion this was more heartbreaking than Rose. Rose had a family and a life both before and after the Doctor, even if it did hurt leaving at least she had all those wonderful memories. Donna was nothing before the Doctor and it was because of him that she became strong and confident. To have all that stripped away would be heartbreaking, even if she can’t remember any of it. She was his best friend and he had to take it all away. Donna Noble will always be my favorite of the companions.

THIS A HUNDRED TIMES THIS! It makes me soooo angry (yeah I’m sure I’ll get it from some Rose and Ten shippers but I don’t care) Rose had so much more to live for even after the Doctor left, Donna will never get to remember all the beautiful things she ever did with him. So no, I don’t think Rose had the most sad or depressing departure from the Doctor, she was one of the lucky ones.

Plus I kept hoping she would meet the guy from Silence in the Library. I will never forgive Moffat for that.
